How to Deactivate or Remove a Plugin

You can deactivate or remove a plugin in JScms using the following steps:

To Deactivate a Plugin (orange arrow):

  1. Log in to the JScms admin panel and navigate to the "Plugins" section.
  2. Locate the plugin you want to deactivate in the list of active plugins.
  3. Click the "Deactivate" button on the bottom right corner of the plugin.

The plugin will be deactivated and no longer affect your website until reactivated.

To Remove a Plugin (red arrow):

  1. Click the "Uninstall" button on the bottom right corner of the plugin.
  2. Using a file manager or FTP client, navigate to the /plugins directory in your JScms installation.
  3. Delete the plugin folder.

Once the folder is deleted, the plugin will be completely removed from your system.

Notes:

  • Deactivating a plugin keeps its data intact, allowing reactivation at any time.
  • Delete the plugin will remove all data associated with this plugin.
  • Delete the plugin folder from your /plugins directory only after you have uninstalled it first.
